Beaver Numbers

The Recommended Maximum Number is 24 Beavers

A Beaver Colony may be organised into smaller groups called Lodges. Lodges can be used in a number if ways to facilitate the organisation of the Beaver Colony. This Number is also dependent on the amount of Adults running the Beaver Section. Therefore can have an effect on the maximum number of Beavers they decide to have.

Beaver Adult to Child Ratio’s Minimum Requirement

Whilst meeting at Holwell Pastures Scout Campsite the minimum is 2 Adults.

When meeting away from Holwell Pastures Scout Campsite the Beavers ratio is 1 Adult in Charge then 1 Adult to 6 Beavers

Cubs

When a Beaver is 8 Years Old they move on to the Cub Section. At times to meet a Beaver needs for when they move on to the Cub Section there is a Six Month Flexibility either way between their 8th Birthday.

The Flexibility is normally due to Friends, Sharing of Lifts and Transferring with a Group of Beavers as opposed to individual.
